I participated in the Creative Conscience project, which aims to use creativity to drive social and environmental change. The project encourages designers to address important societal issues and to leverage their skills to create impactful designs that convey meaningful messages. I chose to focus on confronting racial profiling in the UK and finding solutions to combat this issue.
My role involved exploring various creative mediums to educate and inspire change. I created a poster design for Nike called "Running Free From Labels," which challenges racial profiling, stereotyping, and the stigma associated with certain types of footwear. The project highlights how sneakers are often unfairly linked to specific identities and promote the message of breaking free from these societal labels. Through powerful visuals and messaging, the campaign encourages individuality, self-expression, and the idea that what we wear should not define who we are.
